Christmas reflection
Friends,
At this time of year, there can be a lot of "holiday fatigue." The rush of travel and gift-giving and all that accompanies this time of year can be overwhelming to the heart and soul. There is a wide range of emotions that accompany this time of year. There are also some moments that we want to treasure and others that we want to forget. But Christmas is more than just a single day; it is a season, a time for reflecting on things like hope, love, joy, and peace. These are the gifts of Christmas that we long for (and need) most.
Part of our mission and vision at CrossTraining is to encourage wholeness and health at the core of a person's being - and we do this primarily with professional athletes, coaches, and the people that serve them, as well as with their families.
Some of you have supported the work of CrossTraining this past year - and for this we are truly grateful and thankful. Thank you for the gift of allowing us to serve whom God has called us to serve. Whether you gave financially or whether you provided other resources or prayed for our work - this year was one of our best years of serving.
Others of you have been supported by the work of CrossTraining - past or present, personally or professionally - and we are also thankful for you. We pray that you have been blessed and we want to continue to serve you in the best ways possible. And perhaps this message is another way of reaching out and asking, "How can we serve you?"
We would love to hear from any of you, but for all of you, know that you continue in our thoughts and prayers. May you experience all of the hope, love, joy, and peace of Christmas.
Sincerely,
Brad Kenney,
Lead Chaplain, Colorado Rapids
Director, CrossTraining
