Timothy Project Now Accepting Applications

CrossTraining to again help support soccer and mission projects around the world for 2011

With the successful venture of the Timothy Project in 2010, CrossTraining has announced it is now taking applications for the 2011 season. Individuals and organizations using soccer to reach out to communities and to make a difference in the world are encouraged to fill out the online submission and complete the application form which can be downloaded by clicking here.
Last year's Timothy Project recipient, Greg Dalby and the Charlotte Eagles, used soccer to make a difference in the inner city of Charlotte as well as to orphaned and impoverished children in Jamaica. CrossTraining will accept  and review applications for the upcoming year and hopefully announce project recipients by April.
CrossTraining assists individuals and organizations using soccer to transform their communities by raising funds, creating awareness, or securing equipment. If you or someone you know is using the sport of soccer locally or globally, please encourage them to contact us.

Chaplain Kenney to Speak at Middle School

Colorado Rapids Chaplain Brad Kenney has been invited to speak at the Cherry Hills Christian School Middle School Chapel on Friday, February 18th. Chaplain Kenney will share stories from his work with the Major League Soccer team who won the MLS Cup in 2010 and lay down an exciting challenge for the students as they look to transition soon into high school. Please pray for Chaplain Kenney and the CHCS students in this exciting opportunity and read more about it on the weekly blog page for CrossTraining: Colorado in the days to come.

CrossTraining: Colorado Looks at Growth

Looking to build upon the success of last season, with what happened both on and off the field with the Rapids, CrossTraining: Colorado is looking at the addition of staff and partnering relationships in order to enhance the missional work of reaching out to professional athletes, coaches, staff, and their families. Please pray for the process of discernment and development of key resources and strategic relationships. Read more about it here.

Thank You to Supporters

CrossTraining is thankful for the supporters who took time to help provide feedback about the communication between followers and supporters of the ministry. Survey results will prove extremely helpful in planning the evolving strategy of reaching out and providing care for those involved in professional sport. If you did not get a chance to fill out a survey you may still do so by clicking here
