CrossTraining Urgent Prayer Request

CrossTraining requests your prayers for Colorado Rapids Equipment Manager, Carlos Garcia, whose younger brother was murdered in Guatamala City on Wednesday while taking his children to school.

"I used to think it would be too hard to bring my family here (to the U.S.)," says Carlos, in a sort of daze. "But now, I fear for their safety. Guatamala is becoming so corrupt, so violent."

Carlos, fears for other family members who have also received threats and have been victims of extortion by gangs in other, unconnected, episodes within the last week.

Please pray for Carlos and his family during this time as they were unable to travel back for the funeral. Pray, too, for the people of Guatamala who are facing increased corruption, extortion, and violence. Pray, also, for the CrossTraining team and especially Chaplain Ricardo Orellana, as they reach out to counsel and minister to Carlos and his family.
