Rapids Win on Road to Extend Playoff Appearance

Team Wins Aggregate after Penalty Kicks

The Colorado Rapids went the distance Saturday night as they forced overtime against the Columbus Crew with a goal scored on the road. The teams went toe-to-toe in penalty kicks and the Rapids emerged victorious. The Rapids now will host the conference final at Dick's Sporting Goods Park against the San Jose Earthquakes at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010.
After a three-year absence from the playoffs, the Rapids can now book a ticket to Toronto and the MLS Cup Final with a win at their home ground. The club has not been to the final since 1997, when it had a Cinderella run that ended with a loss to D.C. United in a torrential downpour. CrossTraining will continue its CoreTraining series of mid-week bible study meetings and supporters of CrossTraining can continue to pray for the ministry as it looks to encourage and equip players. throughout the playoffs.
