Supporter Prayers Needed For Expansion
 
CrossTraining working to help place a team chaplain in expansion side Portland

When Major League Soccer announced expansion plans for 2011 and Portland and Vancouver as the latest teams to be accepted into the league, there was much speculation over who would land the coaching positions with the new clubs. When CrossTraining learned that former Colorado Rapids striker John Spencer, then assistant coach with the Houston Dynamo was a viable candidate, it created great interest in whether CrossTraining might not have a role in placing a chaplain with the expansion team. CrossTraining Reaches Out to Alumni
 
CrossTraining has served the Colorado Rapids for nearly 10 years of the club's 16 year existence. Coupled with Director Brad Kenney's prior 2 years of service with the club before working with the team as chaplain, there has been a lot of time invested into this organization. This past month, CrossTraining launched a new effort aimed at reconnecting with team alumni. Timothy Project Heads to Jamaica
 

When former Rapids player Greg Dalby signed with the Charlotte Eagles, he wasn't sure what offseason opportunities would be open for him - would he get another shot at MLS or playing for another USL club? The CrossTraining 2010 Timothy Project recipient finds himself instead headed to a very different location: Jamaica. And not for offseason vacation. Read about his mission and ministry.
