We hope this message finds you well. As we reflect on the past three months, we're excited to share the incredible progress and impact your support has enabled us to achieve at Soccer Chaplains United.
New Chaplains on Board
We're thrilled to announce that we've welcomed a couple of new volunteer chaplains to our team, expanding our reach
and deepening our service within the soccer community. Lewis Martin has joined us as the chaplain for Huntsville City FC, bringing his passion for both sports and spiritual care to the community. His experience and dedication are already making a significant difference.
Additionally, Rev.
Justin Noseworthy has started his service with Monterey Bay FC, and we eagerly anticipate the positive impact he will have in the region.
Board Member Updates
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Geoff Eliason for his eight years of dedicated service on our Board of Directors. Geoff has decided not to renew his position, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors. You can read more about his contributions here.
In exciting news, we are pleased to welcome Wells Thompson to our board. Wells brings a wealth of experience and a passion for our mission, and we are thrilled to have him on board. Learn more about Wells here.
Financial
Update
Thanks to your generosity, we've made strides in reducing our operational deficit. We finished last year with a $3300 shortfall and we continue to have a monthly deficit of approximately $900. As we approach the end of the 1st quarter, we'd like to ask our donors to consider helping us close the gap by possibly "topping off" your gift if you are able — if someone is donating at $20 can you go to $25 or $50? If you're at $225, can you move to $250? As we get further along into the
new year help us not fall too far behind. Your continued support is vital, and we invite you to consider a donation or amending a current donation via PushPay as God continues to grow our work.
Community Engagement
Our community initiatives continue to thrive, with projects that connect faith and soccer
communities in meaningful service. Our efforts to provide new and used soccer gear to local and global communities are ongoing, and we are grateful for your support in these endeavors. Learn more about our community projects here.
We are committed to fostering a supportive environment for spiritual growth and community
service, and your involvement makes all the difference.
